Stinger Sports, A Unique Brand

Ringette enthusiasts do not have to look farther than Stinger Sports for quality ringette products. Originating nearly 40 years ago, Stinger Sports has built its brand based on the principals that guide all successful business. One – superior quality, and two – excellent service.

Acquired by Saskatchewan Abilities Council in the mid 80’s, Stinger Sports’ vision has always been to be the leader in the world of ringette equipment. Through a successful partnership, the Saskatchewan Abilities Council began its association with Ringette by helping manufacture an innovative Ringette shaft design by two men who owned the Stinger brand and would eventually sell the brand in the early 90’s to the Council.

Having grown from manufacturing ringette sticks to acquiring the Stinger brand, the Saskatchewan Abilities Council has grown Stinger into a full service ringette company with over 80 retailers located across Canada. Through constant innovation and unwavering commitment to being the best, Stinger Sports acquired Mosspro – a leading ringette pant brand known for its superior design and durable fabric, and has became the exclusive distributor of Padda Ringette girdles and official ringette rings.

Durability and performance have earned Stinger an excellent reputation in the demanding ringette marketplace. The best-kept secret of all is the fact that our reputation for excellence is based on the efforts of our workers. The Saskatchewan Abilities Council is a registered charity and a non-profit organization dedicated to “working with people of varying abilities to enhance their independence and participation in the community through vocational, rehabilitation, and recreational services”. The Stinger brand is living proof that people with varying abilities can engage in meaningful work and contribute to their community and economy.

All proceeds from Stinger Sports purchase goes into supporting programs and services which enrich the lives of people with varying abilities.

Now, as a division of Saskatchewan Abilities Council, Stinger Sports continues to grow across Canada while exploring potential markets outside of Canada. Stinger Sports is headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
